The Oldest Written Record of the Name »dežela kranjska« (Province of Carniola)

Abstract

The contribution deals with the text containing the first authentic written record of the name »dežela kranjska« (Province of Carniola). The text was written in 1495, quite soon after the fatal battle between the Croat and Turkish soldiers in Krbava Field in 1493.
