Elections to the Labour Chamber for Slovenia in 1926

On the basis of archival, newspaper and other sources the important role of the Labour Chamber for Slovenia at solving the socio-economic problems of workers and employees between the Wars, is presented, especially the setting up of material and legal foundations for its normal activities in the middle of Twenties. After first elections of the assembly members in 1926 the elected representatives of the professional — trade union organisations took over the chamber administration, which also had influence on intensifying its activities referring to its efforts for social legislation improvement, to its interventions concerning the working and material conditions of the workers and employees, as well as in the cultural-educational field.
