Two Gentlemen Travellers in the Slovene Lands in 1737

Abstract

This article attempts to examine the writings from 1737 of two English gentlemen, Jeremiah Milles and Richard Pococke as a source. Although their comments are not always illuminating in themselves, they show the wide influence of Valvasor's work, and particularly of his treatises on Lake Cerknica.
