May Day Demonstrations 1918 in Lower Styria

Abstract

On the basis of the archives and partly also of the newspaper reports the author deals with the May Day demonstrations in 1915, and especially with the last ones in 1918 in the frame of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy in Lower Styria. Demonstrations were more nationally coloured as before, the German ones being separated from the Slovene ones. The demand for armistice conclusion was very strong.
