Der Deutsche Schulverein. Its Ideology and Activity with Special Regard to Slovenia

Abstract

In the time of the national conflicts in the territory of today's Slovenia Der Deutsche Schulverein (German School Society) became an important instrument of the German speaking population to achieve fullfilment of their wishes. By means of the policy of setting up of German schools the society tried to strengthen the Germanity in the territory with mixed population.
