First World War and Slovenes. Outline of Slovene Historiography, Journalism and Memorial Literature on First World War (Part 2)

Abstract

In the period 1945-1992 the dealing with problems referring to the First World War was pushed into the background. However, it has to be told that the themes from the period 1918-1941 were repeated also in the time after the Second World War. Slovene authors dedicated more attention to the problems of the Soča/Isonzo front line, however, in accordance with the development of the Slovene historical science researches were directed to the field of every day life, i.e. to various influences of the War on life on the front line and in the hinterland.
