Conversio Bagoariorum et Carantanorum According to Kos' Edition of 1936 (Researches State Report)

Abstract

The Treatise gives a survey of the present state of researches referring to Conversio, as more than half a century has passed since the Kos's edition and the belonging commentary of this most important source for the history of the area between the Donava river and the Adriatic in the early Middle Ages. Especially problems referring to compositons, manuscripts, authorship, the time of its origin, purpose, drafts, reception and partly also interpretation of this text have been dealt with.
