Milko Kos and his scientific pursuits

Abstract

Milko Kos was born the 12th of December 1892 in Gorica/Gorizia. He studied history and geography in Vienna and specialized in Vienna and Paris. He lectured in Belgrade, Zagreb and since 1926 in Ljubljana. The survey on occasion of his birth centenary deals with his life, especialy his scientific work, the most important books and his public activities. It points out his work on the history of the Middle Ages in Slovenia and his publishing of historical sources from the same period. Milko Kos died on the 24th of March 1972 in Ljubljana.
