On the basis of approximately 200 published loan deeds referring to Carniola and Lower Styria the author deals with loan operations in the 15th and 16th century. He describes the structure of money loaners (Jews, Christians) and their debtors, as well as conditions of loan operations as: coinage systems, terms of payment, interests, loan insurance with security. mortgage of immovables, of movable property and rights of different incomes. He touches also the question of paying by instalments and exaction, as well as loan cessions.
