Abstract

The year 1897 brought with the failure of Badeni's linguistic decrees a great disappointment to the Slav nations, living in the monarchy, and a hard blow to the hope of national questions resolving. Therefore, towards the end of the 19th century, ideas and plans of a stronger connection with Croatia began to grow among the Slovenes in a greater extent. Among ali Slovene political parties and groups the Catholic National Party was the most important in this context.
