Abstract

The author is analyzing the system, and the patterns of ceremonial honoring the dead in Russia at the dawn of the New Age in order to help discem Russia's social and mentality history. The primary data used are the lists of the dead that have, in order to insure their remembrance, donated their property to the monasteries.
