Ein Hexereifall in der Pfarrei Sveti Benedikt in Kančevci aus dem Jahre 1651
Keywords:
1651, witches, Dora BallerAbstract
On June 24, 1651 Dora Heller stole a human skull from St. Benedict’s church. By cooking it, she supposedly used the magic in order to procure stone rain (hail). On July 4, fifteen witnesses were called to the Rakičan castle to testify. Since in the region of Prekmurje witches were not viewed as Satan’s brides nor wizzards as heretics, Dora Beller was neither tortured nor sentenced to death.
