Bazovica 1930

  • Jože Pirjevec

Abstract

On the basis of literature and the Italian archives the author gives an account of the persecution suffered by the Slovene minority in Venezia Giulia in the first decade after the Italian occupation. Special attention is paid to the first Trieste trial in 1930, at which Slovene patriots received exceptionally heavy penalties, with four of them being even sentenced to death and shot at Bazovica.
