Drobci iz časopisnih črnih kronik o Celju 1894-1899

Slovenski časopisi konec 19. stoletja niso pisali samo o domačih in tujih političnih novicah, dogodkih, vojnah ali gospodarskih razmerah, ampak tudi o družbenih razmerah in vsakdanjem življenju v posameznih krajih. Del vsakdanjega življenja v Celju so bile tudi novice črne kronike, ki so predstavljale večinoma tragične in usodne zgodbe. Zajemale so umore, samomore, tatvine, požare, pretepe, delovne, prometne in druge nesreče ljudi ter med drugim tudi naravne nesreče, na katere človek ni imel vpliva.
