Abstract

The author assesses, on the basis of different journals and extensive literary sources, the views of Etbin Kristan and various Slovene associations in the U. S. A., particularly with regard to the national question. She traces the development of their attitude towards the Yugoslav and Slovene problems from the outbreak of World War I through the Chicago Declaration and the foundation of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, as well as towards the problems connected with the federalist and centralist concepts of the new state.
